Welcome to the Kid’s Corner! Inspired by the theme of Promised Lands, this participatory space invited the next generation to dream big and work together for a better tomorrow.
In this space, children were invited to collaborate on a special project—building a bridge to the Promised Land. Using upcycled materials, they created a collective art piece that symbolised the journey we all take towards our hopes and dreams. Through play, creativity, and collaboration, children learned the power of teamwork and imagination in shaping the world they want to see.
As they experimented, they were encouraged by artists and facilitators Betzalel Alvin and John Israel George to think about what a future Promised Land might look and feel like. The space also served as the heart of our community engagement programme, The School’s Programme — a mission to improve arts accessibility to children across Nigeria. With every piece they added, they brought us all one step closer to a shared dream of a place of endless possibility.
Imagination Station was a children-centred space produced by Haily Grenet – Curatorial Production Manager, and Fikayo Adebajo – Associate Curator, with contributions from Betzalel Alvin and John Israel George.
