resonance 2026: announcing the winners

ART X Lagos, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and the French Embassy in Nigeria/ Institut Francais du Nigeria continue their collaboration on RESONANCE this year, the annual residency programme supporting curators, visual artists, and designers based in Nigeria.

Now in its second edition, RESONANCE builds on its inaugural year with a new selection of creative practitioners aiming to deepen their opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and professional development. The programme is designed to foster meaningful dialogue between Nigeria’s creative community and international counterparts, creating space for experimentation, research, and long-term collaboration.

Each year, the three-month residency welcomes one visual artist, one designer, and one curator to Paris. Participants are paired with leading France-based professionals in their respective fields and benefit from a tailored programme of mentorship, networking, and institutional support, alongside financial assistance provided by the partners.

Following a highly competitive open call, a jury comprising representatives from all three partner institutions carefully reviewed this year’s submissions.
